“The Lagos Street Party” is the party to end all street parties, holding on December 3rd and 4th!
Lagos will be shutting down on itself as the biggest ever street party in the state’s history will be holding to kick start the seasonal festivities.
Organized by the state government and White Star Entertainment, the street party will happen along Ahmadu Bello Way in Victoria Island, right next to the iconic Bar Beach. This will lead to the cordoning off of neighboring streets like Tiamiyu Savage, Akin Adesola and Bishop Oluwole.
Expected to perform at the two day fiesta are Olamide, Phyno, MI, Kaffy, Ice Prince, Humblesmith, DJ Spinall, and DJ Lambo.
According to the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, half a million people are expected at the event daily from noon to midnight.
“The street party—which will witness local and foreign visitors—is not to kill other carnivals like the “One Lagos Fiesta,” but it is to complement it,” he was quoted as saying, adding, “Immediately after the Lagos Street Party, we will come out with the plans for this year’s edition of the “One Lagos Fiesta”.”
There will other side attractions at the event, like an art exhibition, dance classes with renowned dancer Kaffy, rock climbing, paint balling and fun slides for the kids.
