"I'LL HOLD A PRIVATE FUNERAL ON DONALD TRUMP'S INAUGURATION DAY' - Wole Soyinka

Still on Wole Soyinka's views.

After making good of his promise to shred his green card and renounce his American residency in protest to Donald Trump's U.S election win, the Nobel Prize winning author, Wole Soyinka(82)says he will hold a private funeral on January 20 when United States President-elect, Donald Trump, is inaugurated as President.

He further explains that the funeral isn't to mourn with the citizens of the US over their choice of president, but to mourn the death of Nigeria's common sense.

"Our common sense is totally lost. I am embarrassed sometimes that I occupy the same nation space with some people," he added.

He also said that Nigerians did not have the right to query his personal decision to tear his US green card.

But if you ask me, i think he made it our business when he chose to bring his 'personal decisions' to the public eye. lol
