FIREWORKS EXPLOSION ROCKS LAGOS STATE

At the very late hours of the 26th Day of December, 2012 (which was the BOXING DAY) it was reported that a heavy explosion rocked the entire neighborhood of Jankara Market, Isale-Eko, Lagos State. This explosion was generally mistaken to be a ‘bomb explosion’ by many as the sound made by the explosion was massive.  The fire started from a building, which served as a warehouse for fireworks. The fire spread widely to other buildings around the area.  Since this area is a major commercial area in the state, many valuables and goods were lost as a result.

A yet-to-be identified female teenager was feared dead in the explosion, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Pictures below explain the degree of the impact clearly.

We should all pray for our Nation Nigeria as the number of deaths recorded this year has been quite devastating.
