Brit feared killed after being taken hostage in Nigeria

A TERRORIST group says it has killed seven foreign workers taken hostage in Nigeria last month - including one Brit.

The Muslim extremists known as Ansaru, but whose full name translates as Vanguards for the Protection of Muslims in Black Africa made the claim this afternoon.
It said the radicals murdered their prisoners after seeing "British warplanes" flying over.
The group issued a statement in Arabic and English accompanied by screen shots of a video purporting to show the dead hostages.

One chilling image showed a man with gun standing above several figures lying on the ground.
Those kidnapped from a construction site included one Brit, an Italian, one person from Greece and four Lebanese workers,
In its statement, the group said it had decided to kill the hostages - taken from the compound of a Lebanese construction company in the northern state of Bauchi - because of attempts by Britain and Nigeria to rescue them.
“(We) announced the capture of seven Christians foreigners and warned that should there be any attempt by force to rescue them will render their lives in danger,” the statement added.
“The Nigeria and British government operation lead to the death of all the seven Christians foreigners,” it said.
