WOW!!!.....It's the moment we've all been waiting for! It's 2013!! I wanna take this time out to welcome everyone and say, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY LOVELIES OUT THERE! You all are the BEST.
We've counted GAINS in the last year, and also we've counted LOSSES....but one thing I wanna let everyone know is that; THE MIND-SET REALLY MATTERS, A LOT! What you're seeing this minute, how you imagine yourself this 2013 really counts.

Down here in Osumenyi, NNEWI-SOUTH L.G.A in Anambra State Nigeria, it's all gone crazy believe me! Fireworks sounding everywhere, people jubilating, celebrating; theres joy everywhere! and you know what, it sure does worth it!...every bit.

Like i said earlier, what we think of ourselves, starting from this moment really matters. I'm gonna give us all a hint to a very wonderful life this 2013!

TRIBUTE TO THE DAMILA

This post is humbly dedicated to all those in 2012 who lost their lives in a very painful way, to the mothers and to the fathers that has lost sons or daughters in the most painful ways, to those that are oppressed and can speak for themselves, to those that are victimized one way or the other; abused and assaulted to the point of death, I dedicate this post to you. 

The 23yrs old Indian Damini, who was brutally beaten, assaulted, and raped; even to the point of inflicting pains on her in the most barbaric way, is a fellow human (not withstanding color or race). This is an assault to humanity and everyone who is living and has breath in them must stand up in voice and speak against all sorts of ANIMALISTIC, CANNIBALISTIC, AND BARBARIC TENDENCIES EXHIBITED by figures who are supposed to be human beings. EVIL ACTS HAS GOT TO STOP!

I remember the #aluu4, i remember the mother who had lost all 4kids in a fire, I remember the family, wife, husband, brother, well-wisher, who has lost someone to malfunction of airplanes. This post is for you! MAY THE GOD LORD GIVE YOU STRENGTH TO PUSH ON. BLESS YOU WITH THE ZEAL TO LOOK AT THE BRIGHTER SIDE OF LIFE. ALL THAT HAPPENS, DOES FOR A REASON.

PHOTOS OF CARNIVAL: BRAZIL PLANS DANCE SCHOOL FOR NIGERIA

After the wonderful and colorful displays in the 2012 carnival held @ Calabar, The Leader of the Brazilian Carnival Band, Mr Thobias Da Vai-Vai, said on Thursday in Calabar that the Brazilian Government would soon build a Samba Dance School in Calabar to market Brazil’s culture internationally.

He made the announcement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the ongoing Carnival Calabar Festival 2012.
Vai-Vai said the dancing school would be for youths to make them grow up with the dancing style.
He said Nigeria and Brazil had similar culture that needed to be show-cased.
“The dancing school will be built in order to exchange cultures that both countries have in common and to promote a friendly atmosphere,” he said.
He urged the Federal Government to improve infrastructure and to support foreign investors by creating good and safe environment.
“Government should make a firm policy that would give room for investors to explore the industry.
“Government should reduce charges, taxes and levies to encourage more investors into Nigeria,” he said.
He said that samba dance was reputed to be a world-class dancing style and that the costumes could be used to promote both nations’ cultures.
“We are all happy to be part of the Carnival Calabar Festival 2012, and hope to come again,” he said.

GOV OKOROCHA AT WAR WITH SENATOR ANYANWU

 

The controversy trailing Thursday’s clash between the security aides of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and those of Senator Chris Anyanwu along the Owerri-Umuahia highway continued yesterday with exchange of harsh words between the warring parties. While the governor in a statement insisted that Anyanwu’s convoy broke into his with a view to kill him.

The Senator who incidentally is representing the state in the National Assembly and elected on the same political platform, All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) as the governor, accused Okorocha of telling lies by feeding the public with a false account of what happened. She narrated how the governor sat in his car watching his security aides drag out her drivers and security aides from her three car convoy to beat them and break their heads in a naked show of state power.

According to her: “The governor lied. This is one case governor Rochas cannot cover up. And no amount of propaganda can turn the truth on its head. What happened was a simple case of shameful show of power….a governor visiting the governed with brutality for absolutely no reason. “My three cars were ahead of the governor. There was no indication the governor was approaching. No flags, no advance outriders. There was a hyundai bus with tinted glasses , a number of small cars and open hilux with many uniformed men. Being ahead of them on the busy Owerri- Umuahia road, it was difficult to know who was coming until the hilux passed us.
We then immediately cleared the road and stopped for them to pass. But instead of passing, five vehicles completely surrounded our three cars. Over thirty men from all sides descended on us. “First they tried to force open my car. My driver locked it. Then they went to my advance car and back up cars. Pulled out the drivers, plummeted one and pushed him into the gutter. The other one they dragged into the bush. Ten men descended on him., gashed his head and continued to pound him until I ran out of my car barefooted pleading “ don’t kill him. He is my driver. I am Senator Anyanwu. One non-uniformed man turned on me, cocked his gun at me and said he would blow me away if I didn’t back off.” She further accused the governor of ordering his security aides to disarm her own security aide. “Governor Rochas had ordered his men to disarm my police security.

GOV WADA IN COMA AFTER AUTO CRASH

Word is the Kogi State Governor, Captain Wada Idris, who was involved in a ghastly motor accident which led to the instant death of his AIDE (Mohammed Idris) some days back, is currently in a COMA,

At the time of the accident, The vehicle somersaulted severally. Rescue operation started immediately and the injured governor was moved by an ambulance to the state’s specialist hospital in Lokoja, where medical personnel battled to save his life. Thereafter, he was transferred to an Abuja hospital in a helicopter, where plan was being finalised to fky him abroad last night. Sources said Wada sustained serious head injuries, which caused him going into coma. Also, he sustained leg injuries in the crash.

VICTIM OF GANG-RAPE IN INDIA FINALLY DIES IN SINGAPORE HOSPITAL

The 23-year-old girl (DAMINI), who put up a brave battle for life after she was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus on December 16 that had created a nationwide outrage, died on Saturday morning in the Singapore hospital.

The girl, who was admitted to the well-known multi-organ transplant facility Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Thursday morning in an extremely critical condition, breathed her last at 4:45 am (2:15 am India time).

The victim “passed away peacefully” with her family and officials of the Indian Embassy by her side, Dr. Kevin Loh, the chief executive of Mount Elizabeth hospital, said in a statement.

As news of the victim's death reached New Delhi early Saturday, hundreds of policemen sealed off the high-security India Gate area, where the seat of India's government is located, in anticipation of more protests. The area is home to the president's palace, the prime minister's office and key defence, external affairs and home ministries.

US BASED NIGERIAN ECONOMIST KILLED IN ENUGU

In the early hours of Wednesday, a reputable Financial Economist, Ogbo Bennard Edoga, 56, was slain by unknown gun men in his village, Aku, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area, LGA, just 30 kilometers from Nsukka township.

 

The victim had gone to the village from the states to see both his aged mother and twin sister whose husband was opening his new house. After that, he, in company of his elder brother and two of his nephews aged 12 and 10 respectively, decided to visit some of his kinsmen.  On approaching the entrance to the man’s residence, he parked his car and alighted with his briefcase after pleading with the other occupants of the car to give him few minutes to felicitate with the owner of the house

Eyewitness said as he was about entering through a small gate, a car suddenly pulled up in front of his car. Two boys emerged from the car leaving the third person inside. The two boys approached the occupants of his car and  asked where the driver was. Before the occupants could answer them, they sighted the victim entering through the small gate and they quickly pulled out their guns and fired some  shots.

His briefcase was taken from him before he was shot.

The bullet penetrated through the waist and pierced his innards. Blood started flowing freely.

The youths from both the community and Odenigbo area in Nsukka main town where the deceased grew up started grouping to carry out a violent demonstration against the brutal killing of one of their foremost sons whom they described as a “messiah and philanthropist” that was working hard to alleviate their sufferings. It was the timely intervention of a one- time Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area and former member of the House of Representatives, Alex Ezeh and other elders that stopped what could have been a bloody protest by the aggrieved youths.

The motives of the hoodlums is yet to be ascertained. The police assures to leave no stone un-touched during investigations.

200 STUDENTS EXPELLED FROM COVENANT UNIVERSITY

Word is that 200 students were expelled from Covenant University, Cannanland, Ota, Ogun State, recently for what was described as “disregard of paramount core values.” Admist these are 25 students of which are finalists.


The Vice Chancellor himself, Bishop Oyedepo, meted this punishment on these students out of what surprised him as he found students loitering about in school while the church service was going on in the chapel. Parents of these students have also tried to trash issues out with the authorities but all to no avail.

I hope, for the students' sakes, that judgment will be tampered with mercy...

INDIAN RAPE: CONDITION OF VICTIM TURNS WORSE

There has been a severe unrest in the Capital city of India, New Delhi. This unrest was as a result of a 23-year-old Indian woman, who was gang raped (also had iron rod vigorously inserted into her private part) while aboard a bus in New Delhi couple of days ago. The victim was taken from India to Singapore where she is currently receiving treatment. "The condition of the victim has taken a turn for the worse" according to a doctor who is treating her at the Singapore hospital.

"The woman's vital signs are deteriorating, and there are signs of severe organ failure", Dr. Kelvin Loh, chief executive officer at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, said Friday.

Her injuries were so severe that she spent days in intensive care, battling for her life, after the December 16 incident.

After creating the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, is Apple now working on an iWatch?

Rumor has it that the Apple company is currently working on bringing an iWATCH.  This watch would be Bluetooth-enabled and sport a 1.5-inch OLED screen.

The so-called smart watch would debut sometime in the first half of next year. The wrist watch can be described as a souped-up iPod Nano watch with futuristic features like wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and/or NFC) and support for Siri and FaceTime. And it's not exactly unfamiliar territory for Apple.

ARE THEY EXPECTING???

Rumor has it that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might expecting a baby soon! *gasp*

According to a new Hollywood life Report on Thursday, Dec 27th , it was stated that Kim is currently being treated for severe morning sickness.

The report states that doctors rushed to Kim Kardashian’s bedside because she was suffering from ‘acute morning sickness. It is a possibility that Kim could be pregnant and she is at a great age to start a family.

If she really is, I wish them happiness buh if she's not, well...still wishing her happiness!

PRISONER'S BELLY HINDERS HIS ESCAPE

This dude got sick of sitting in his jail cell, probably wanted to spend Christmas somewhere different. So he with some other inmates devised a plan to aid their escape. When this genius executed his plan, it was his large belly that prevented him from being successful.

His name is Rafael Valadao. He was being held in a prison in Ceres which is in the Brazilian state of Goias. Valadao’s escape plan was to crawl out of the prison through a hole an additional inmate has escaped through. The hole was located in their cell wall and was created by the inmates bashing in the wall with a shower rod.
In his attempt to free himself of the prison, Valadao, 28 got stuck in the hole because of his big belly. The other inmate manages to use his clothing as a barrier on top of the electrified wires at the top of the perimeter fence and still remains at large.
