The Burial of Barr. Simon Nnadi which took place on the 10th day of January 2012 was one to be described as successful...as family, friends and well-wishers were all gathered to mourn this great peaceful and generous man as described by wife, Mrs. Nnadi Sylvia. The Entire Nnadi Family also expresses their gratitude to all who stood by them through this time and also to those who made out time to be with them on the burial. Below is a Tribute to Barr. Simon Nnadi by Mrs. Sylvia Nnadi (wife)
TRIBUTE TO MY ONE AND ONLY HUSBAND
Ihem, the news of your death was as a big shock to me, I was
returning with enthusiasm and vigor to be with you, to give mama a befitting
burial. Hardly did I know that the evil men of this wicked world have
terminated your life so abruptly. Snatching you away from me and giving you no
opportunity to bid me or your children farewell.
Words cannot express the heartbreak and the grief we are
passing through. I knew something was not right when you did not call me at the
airport because it was unlike you not to call to know if I have boarded my
flight or if I have arrived.
Ihem, you were my rock and my hero, my past, my present, and
my future. You showed me so much Love, made me who I am today, and the envy of
my fellow women. You did not compromise your family with anything else. You ensured
that your kids went to the best school and got the best education. You were
always there for us and sacrificed a lot for our happiness. I wonder what life
would be without you my love!
You labored, hustled, studied, and overcame all setbacks,
achieved and actualized your dream of becoming a Lawyer but you were not given
the opportunity to practice and serve humanity as you wished!
You assured me before you returned to Nigeria in October
that the rainy and stormy days in our lives were over, that the sun will shine
on us again. I did not know that my sunshine will be gone so soon.
Little did I know that God was preparing me for the
inevitable this last one year you were in the Nigeria Law School. Though you
were away, you still guided me through the difficult times.
I find solace in the fact that we serve a Living God, a
consuming fire and a God of vengeance. He will avenge your murder. I am
convinced that you have gone to be with the Lord. Rest in peace in the bosom of
the Lord until the resurrection morning when we shall meet to part no more!
I miss you greatly, your children; Chioma, Amaka,
Chineye(your girlfriend), Chukwuemeka, Ezinne and Obianuju will also miss you
dearly! You have left a huge void in our lives which can never be filled. We can
only draw inspirations from the sweet memories you left behind for us.
You will be remembered for all you stood for; Peace, kindness,
honesty, and generosity.
Adieu Ihem, Adieu my Love, Adieu my Jewel, Adieu my Dearest
Husband.
YOUR WIFE
