SEVEN SUSPECTS DISCHARGED.
Sometime last year, 4 students of Uniport (Lloyd, Chidiaka, Ugonna, Tekena)were murdered in cold blood on bases of a false allegation that tagged them as 'thieves'. Since them multiple arrests have been made in order to catch the culprits responsible for the act.
A chief Magistrate’s Court in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, yesterday said the Monarch of Omuokiri, Aluu community in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hassan Walewa and 10 others are to face charges over their alleged roles in the murder of four students of the University of Port Harcourt
The court
discharged seven of the suspects.
Their release was in compliance with the legal advice by the State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), who absolved them of any involvement in the killings and directed that they be discharged.
They are Cynthia Chinwo, George Nwadei, Daniel Ekpe, Gabriel Ochie, Endurance Edet, Lucky Agburum and Finebone Jeffrey.
The case was adjourned till April 25.
